PRESTON ROWE PATERSON STRENGTHENS NATIONAL PRESENCE
« Back
3 July 2009

2009 is Preston Rowe Paterson ’s 21st year as a national property consultancy and valuation service provider in Australia . Since the inception of the firm, we have provided a broad range of property consultancy services to our clients including valuation, asset management, property investment and development consultancy, research and capital markets advisory.

Nationally and locally, our expertise lies in commercial office, retail, industrial, residential, hotel and leisure, as well as special purpose properties. At the inception of the business in 1988, our ideology was to be represented in capital cities of Australia only. However, as time has moved on our clients have expected us to offer our services in regional localities.

In 2008 we were pleased to announce the establishment of our new regional offices in Albury Wodonga on the NSW/Victoria border; Ballarat, Gippsland and Mornington in Victoria .

We are also extremely proud to announce the establishment of three new regional offices.

To strengthen our presence in the overall Sydney basin, Dupont’s Property Consultants and Valuers in Newcastle have just joined Preston Rowe Paterson . Dupont’s have successfully been operating as Newcastle ’s largest property consultancy and valuation business for over 20 years. Directors Robert Dupont, David Rich and Josh Smith have commented that joining Preston Rowe Paterson ’s national group will greatly enhance their future growth potential.

Whilst covering typical property asset classes such as commercial, retail, industrial and residential, Dupont’s have a long established track record in consulting and valuing complex asset classes such as wind farms, port facilities and coal loaders, maritime leases and airports. Robert Dupont commented that there is a high degree of synergy with the established Preston Rowe Paterson offices, whom also have similar expertise. Mr Dupont also stated that the international King Sturge Association will assist in strengthening relationships with local clients in the Newcastle market related to the port facilities which are headquartered offshore.

Greg Rowe , Sydney based National Director of Preston Rowe Paterson whom had lead the negotiation with Dupont’s, has commented that the addition of the Dupont’s long established business and team to Preston Rowe Paterson will greatly enhance our service offering in the greater Sydney region, including Newcastle and the Central Coast.

To further enhance Preston Rowe Paterson ’s presence in the greater Sydney region, we are also extremely proud to announce that Wayne Casey of Australian Certified Property Consultants and Valuers based in Wollongong to the south of Sydney , has joined the Preston Rowe Paterson group. Like Dupont’s in Newcastle , Wayne Casey’s Australian Certified Property Consultants and Valuers has a long established history in Wollongong and the Illawarra region to the south of Sydney for over 30 years. Wayne has also established a strong presence in commercial, retail, industrial, residential, hotel and leisure and special purposes property investment and development valuation and consultancy. In commenting on joining Preston Rowe Paterson , Mr Casey stated that it was imperative for his business to be part of a larger national group, so that he could capture national client business in his local market that he would not have otherwise had access to. This, Mr Casey said, gives him a significant opportunity to grow his business to the next level, benefiting from being associated both nationally with Preston Rowe Paterson and internationally with King Sturge. The Wollongong/Illawarra region is a significant coal and steel export port.

Commenting on the addition of both the Newcastle and Wollongong offices, Greg Preston, Sydney based National Director, stated that the inclusion of the two significant industrial cities to the north and south of Sydney is a huge benefit to Preston Rowe Paterson ’s national service offering.

The third new office which has joined Preston Rowe Paterson in recent months is Geelong . Gareth Kent of Kent and Company has been operating in Geelong to the south-west of Melbourne since 1981. Like Newcastle and Wollongong , Geelong is a significant regional Victorian city which is known for its car manufacturing industry. For many years, Kent and Company have been servicing local clients in their commercial, retail, industrial, residential real estate endeavours. In joining the Preston Rowe Paterson group, Mr Kent has commented that after working closely with the Melbourne CBD office on a number of major valuation projects, it made good business sense to join the Preston Rowe Paterson group to take his local business to the next level, by benefiting from the national association. To adopt a national brand and benefit from a national approach to business development and client liaison, Mr Kent said that it would allow him to grow his business locally. He also added that Preston Rowe Paterson ’s advanced IT system, E-Valuers, developed by Melbourne based National Director, Damian Kininmonth , would bring immediate efficiencies to his business that it could not otherwise benefit from. In commenting on the E-Valuers web-based technology database, Mr Kent said E-Valuers has, in the first two months of operation, revolutionised his interaction with his clients through a web services based system, incorporating a paperless office. The recent release of the E-Valuers proprietary Australian Property Transaction Portal, also web services based, will allow the Geelong office to participate in a much greater diversity of business, given that the transaction database for commercial, retail, industrial, hotel and leisure, development sites and leasing, as well as rural, will give him information at his fingertips that he otherwise did not have.

Neal Ellis , National Director in leading new office development, stated that all three offices headed by Robert Dupont in Newcastle , Wayne Casey in Wollongong and Gareth Kent in Geelong , add a significant benefit to Preston Rowe Paterson ’s national group. He commented that in the second half of 2009 we are seeking additional regional city offices in the main commercial centres in Queensland including the Sunshine Coast , Bundaberg, Gladstone , Mackay, Townsville, Cairns and Rockhampton.
